Physical Appearance

For an orc he is rather scrawny, taking after his more slender mother rather than the orcish male with brute muscles. But do not let his leaner frame fool you, there is still tight cords of muscle beneath his dull brown flesh. Although his build is not typical he still maintains the height of an orc, standing a lanky 6 foot 1 inch! Do not mistake this orc, although in a match verses a typical male orc he would more than likely lose and Uziah knows this. Uziah's hair is often cropped away from his long ears, of which one bothers him constantly and is missing part of the long lobe. The back though is untouched and is messily braided, he cares little for his hair personally but maintains the cut. The color is a dark steely blue gray and reaches just about to the small of his back. There are tattoos on his body, two green streaks on his cheek for which orc family he came from although he cares not for it now and does not discuss his family or 'clan' to nearly anyone. A crows skull is also tattooed in light ink on his chest, there is history behind this. Uziah does have his septum and damaged lobe pierced. For clothing you can often find this orc naked but he does indeed where clothes. They are usually leathers or furs depending on the weather and are often beasts he had killed hunting. A typical good weather outfit would be some sort of leather 'cover' or loincloth type of item that would make him decent and paired with a drape of fur of some sort. He usually keeps his feet clothed in a leather boot or leather thong.

Personality

Strengths
Brave || Caring || Protective/Loyal || Trustworthy
Brave Being a man of the wilderness he fears little, and that he does he is willing to overcome. Heights? No problem. Big scary bear beast? He knows what to do! Spider? ...Okay spiders might get him a bit.
Caring This orc, a species who is usually taken as a barbarian and violent fighters, is a lover. His heart is so big and often he tries to hide this? Why? Because of his race, he is often taken for an embarrassment and talks of him being a half-orc are always whispered
Protective/Loyal Uziah is protective of those he cares of or those who are in need. Though sometimes this can be overbearing. He is loyal to his core, he makes a promise and it will be kept if at all possible. His loyalty runs hand and hand with a deep honesty. If you're on his good side, you're set.
Trustworthy Uziah is just a generally good guy, on top of his other warm traits he is also extremely trustworthy. Although this one stems from his separation from society more than anything learned in childhood. Trust is needed when dealing with animals and he had acquired it over the years and now has become part of him.

Weakness
Regretful || Weak-Willed || Lazy || Slightly-Alcoholic
Regretful He often overthinks things he has done, especially in his younger days with his family and dwells on the memories for much too long.
Weak-Willed This goes with his lazy trait. He has been beaten down so often in his life for being different that he just doesnt have it in him to take on too much unless it pertains to animals.
Lazy Boy this orc likes his naps.
Slightly-Alcoholic Though effected on how melancholy he is, Uziah is often found with a skin of homemade wine. Fair warning, its potent. He will drink it slowly all day if its just a normal day but on his bad ones he will drink nonstop until he is completely smashed.

History:

Childhood 1 - 15
As a child he had a rather simple life, having a twin brother meant there was always someone to play with but there was also someone to always annoy you. As typical brothers they fought and loved one another like no one else. Uziah also had an older sister, whom he looked up to. She was a fierce lady, a good ten years over him and by age 10 he loved her and she loved him back. His brother Urrick though did not get along with older Abby as well as his twin and the two fought worse than the twins. Sometimes even blood was drawn which on drew out stress from his parents. They'd usually bulk the two, Urrick and Uziah, together and they both would get punished for the wrong-doing Urrick did. But all that was just simple childhood dramas that everyone had to some degree. It wasn't until after the twins 10th birthdays did Urrick and Uziah seem to start changing. Urrick's jokes and playtime grew darker which Uziah's turned more towards nature and their father began to favor the more violent Urrick. Uziah was okay with that, their father was a typical orc who could be drawn into anger at the drop of a hat and his twin seemed to be turning more and more into that. Uziah just did not feel the hot blood like most orcs and other young orcs began to pick up on that and poke fun at the youngling. Soon enough his brother even joined in on it, all the while his sister guarded Uziah and grew closer to him than ever. Mother and Father weren't much help in these areas as most orc parents want their kids to deal with things on their own to grow fierce and stand up to others but Uziah longed for it. As they grew older still, Uziah sought safety in the woods befriending all different types of creatures. He became rather connected to a crow with an odd white wing on its one side. Uziah asked his sister about the white wing crow and she said she was surprised something like that lived long enough to be an adult as ones that looked different tended to be singled out and easily picked off by predators. Much like himself he thought and instantly fell in love with the crow he simple called 'White Bird' and through much patience he was able to begin training the bird and holding him on his shoulder. He spent hours with the bird after classes and training, which he hated, and was always careful to make sure that no one saw where he went and chased White Bird off when he left. The two became hard to separate much like Urrick and Uziah were in their younger days. White Bird started following him around the clan but learned that Uziah wanted him to maintain his distance but regardless it was noticed the the odd ball orc was being followed by a crow. Crows were considered a sign of death and the already picked on orc soon became shunned and Uziah's father even let him stop training. Any bulk he was gaining like his brother and similarly aged orcs was lost and he grew into a rather lanky orc as he grew. Urrick grew strong and muscled all over by the time they aged to 15, though still considered young it was obvious Urrick was 'normal' and Uziah was not. Their mother and sister adored the kind boy, his demeanor more like theirs even though they seemed more quick to anger still. Their father easily favored Urrick and rarely noticed Uziah. He considered White Bird his only friend. On his and Urrick's 15th birthday, Uziah hurried home to meet with White Bird so he would not have to hear of Urrick's triumphs in battle training and get gifts and special desserts while his father cast scornful glances his way. As he went into the deeper woods he began calling for his bird friend but he never came. Though worried, it had happened before and Uziah waited until dark and headed home not seeing his dear friend at all. As he reached the homestead something felt wrong, but it usually did so he shrugged it off to his worry for White Bird. But as he entered he heard Urrick's cackling and some of Urrick's friends laughter as well. His stomach dropped.
"Hi younger twin" Urrick's harsh raspy voice was full of malice.
"Hello dear Urrick, Happy Nameday" Uziah replied with dread
"I got you a gift brother, have you anything for I?" Uziah shook his head to his twin who looked only different in body build. They had not exchanged gifts for almost four years, but nonetheless Uziah began to feel bad. Maybe his brother did care for him still and he took the awfully wrapped pack his twin handed him. He pulled at the piece on paper of a box with his sharp nails as his heart beat harder. As he pulled up the flap of the flimsy paper box, the white thing that gleamed up at him brought instant tears to his eyes. It was a bloody crow skull with a few white feathers laid on the bottom as a bed. It was obviously fresh as it dotted the clean wing feathers with crimson. The cackling that came from his twin brother was horrendous. It would be the first time Uziah felt the blood rage, it was so over powering and fierce he felt like a different person, and hated it later. Uziah attacked his brother with the crow skull, stabbing out an eye with the beak and nearly killed him with the following stabs and punches. He would have if his sister had not been there to pry them apart, in the tussle Uziah dealt the most damage to his brother but he did not come away unscathed. His right tusk tooth was broken off, and his left ear lobe had a bite taken from it. After his burst, the rage drained surprisingly quick and was replaced by grief. Uziah, still young, never had any outside grief to deal with besides sorrow for his own nature and it was his destruction at the time. Uziah spoke to no one afterwards, not even his sister. His father seemed happier with him though, and his brother healed but lost the sight of one eye, a finger and held plenty of scars. Others no longer picked on him and if he wanted something there was no issue getting things, though he remained silent.

Teens/Young Adult 16 - 30
From age 16 to 19 he remained next to silent and only spoke when he must or to his sister, which he had welcomed back into his life. As a sign against his brother who steered clear of Uziah, he had a crow skull tattooed to his chest. Often times now taking to spending everyday shirtless to show it off. He would not let people forget what he could do if he needed to. White bird had been his friend, his responsibility and something special to the orc. Uziah's father attempted to get him back into training, clear now that he could let the blood rage take him but Uziah took every step possible to keep from becoming like his barbaric race. He picked up drinking in this time and used it to often get out of doing anything for his family. It broke his mother and father's heart to see their young boy in this state but Uziah didn't mind. It left him to go out in the woods, although it took sometime to return to nature since White Bird's death. He befriended more birds in hope that White Bird may be out there and the skull was some random bird, but his heart knew it was not true. He trained flocks of crows and other birds, grew close to the skittish animals of the forest and was able to walk the woods near his home without animals scurrying away for safety. Though he never let any as close as he did White Bird. At age 25 he was considered a man and was permitted to build his own homestead even though he had not taken a women. He never planned to and thus was just left to do as he pleased. He built a simple shack of a home as close as he could to the woods and still be apart of his small clan village. As another year passed some orcs took to Uziah for herbs and such, which he often found in the woods. His hunting skills excelled and he utilized every bit of the animal in respect, thus growing his leather working and such. Uziah became and excellent cook and often made large meals for the clan as long as he was allowed not to attend. He began to like his life for the first time since his childhood. Uziah and his sister grew closer still, although she soon found a husband and was looking to have children. She quickly became with child and Uziah was nothing but happy for her. As she swelled to noticeable size she broke the news to their mother, father and brother. Their parents were overjoyed by Urrick seemed uninterested, typical. Urrick, still living with their parents, had begun courting and Uziah was not surprised. At the end of the night, after some drinks, everyone departed in happiness. Uziah went to sleep quickly with a slight buzz on. He was awoken before dawn by a clan member, something about his sister was spoken and Uziah jerked awake and followed the fellow orc. Turns out someone had attacked his sister, Abby and the babe was lost. They were not sure if she would make it and Uziah never left her side as their parents did not either. Urrick was no where to be seen. Fortunately Abby did make it through but was broken and bruised, grieving her lost child. She then broke the family further that Urrick had attacked her and even tried to rape her. But if there's one thing that can stop an orc, its and orc and she had injured his only good eye, not bad enough to blind but enough to get him away from her. He fled, and although the clan tried to find him he managed to stay hidden. Abby and her husband split as Abby was no longer emotionally stable. She moved back home, hopefully only until she got better and her love stuck around to wait for the day. Uziah? He was angered, sad, and Abby often would start crying when she saw Uziah. He and Urrick looked identical in the face and they both had similar hair cuts. She always apologized for it, but it broke his heart every time she cringed from him and soon became to much for even him. With sad goodbyes, a vow to find his brother one day, and apologies from himself, his parents and Abby, Uziah left and spent years up to his 30th birthday wondering the woods. The place he loved so much.
Adulthood 31 - Current
From 30 to present time Uziah lives in the wild missing out on most of the current news and most things about the returning dragons, in a small hand build cabin he tends to the wildlife and himself and beyond that, that's about it. He knew of the beasts but cared not to look into it further, chalking it up as myth. Uziah does help the locals by supplying them with leather goods, furs, herbs, meat and even helps them with pest and animal problems but to them he is a quiet and rather odd orc. At first they shied away from him when he made his residence known but slowly they grew to know he was safe and actually rather trustworthy. The first wall came down when he was about 55 years of age, still young for an orc, and a small child who raised rabbits had a few that had grown sickly and the others had ganged up on them. Uziah was called forth as having talent with animals and although he at the time would rather of stayed to himself, an animal was in need and they were his only friends and joy. He came to the home and was shown the animals. One of four sick and beaten animals was already passed and the others looked like they may be falling down with some sort of breathing issue. Quickly Uziah worked and cleaned their pen, and them and began to tend to wounds. Although he knew they were a meat rabbit for the family they still deserved the best life possible until the time they were needed to feed the family. Most of the rabbits had been black and brown but one was cream colored with a big black spot over one eye, this one lost his complete ear and was now fully wrapped across the top of its head with linen to protect it. Uziah smiled at it as the little girl who tended them for her family began thanking him. He reached in one more time and patted the one eared bunny again and then lowered himself to the girl. (dont worry his loin cloth hickey is long enough he does expose himself....awkward) He pulled items from a bag that he often carried and gave her three packets of plants. Some chamomile, blueberry leaves and birch bark and gently told her what she needed to do to prevent this sickness from taking her stock. He took one leaf and fed it to the one eared rabbit and smiled down at the girl. He promised he would be back by the full moon to come check their wounds. He left without payment of any kind. As he promised he returned the day before the moons fullest stage and peeled away the now someone rough looking bandages and was happy with the results of his work and the treatment the girl swore she was feeding them. Uziah toted around the one eared one and what a sight it was. The one toothed orc and the one eared rabbit with the missing part on opposite sides, the look of it made the girl giggle and she hurried to her mother who seemed to be watching rather cautiously when he was around. He was an orc after all, he shrugged it off as he placed the rabbit back in his storage pen. Tugging on her parents skirt she demanded to whisper in her ear. The mother listened and once the girl finished the mother whispered back to her, nodding and handed her a pouch. The girl scurried quickly back and handed him the pouch, he could feel the coins within and he felt suddenly bad. The girl then struggled to pull the one eared rabbit from the pen and handed to him as well. Uziah blinked in shock and tried to hand the squirming thing back to the girl but she insisted he take it. Looking up to the mother, in silence she nodded and he warmed. Thanking them over and over he returned home, all the while holding the bunny in his arms. When he got home he entered the darkening cabin and lit a fire one handed, cupping the bunny against him. As soon as the task was done he set the bunny on the table which he ate at and looked at it. It arched itself up and he lowered himself to look at its eye. The bunny leaned in, began to sniff his nose and suddenly bit it. "God damn you" He yelped and covered his nose, although no skin broke, that had hurt! He blinked through tears at the little bunny and it cocked its head to the side, the single ear flopping over. Uziah burst out laughing and scratched the critter on the head and set him on the floor. Quickly he hurried and collected some food for the bunny and tasked himself with making a food and water bowl. Over the years the rabbit became house trained and even learned to come when called and other menial tasks. Though nothing could replace White Bird, One, as he had taken to calling him seemed to be his new companion. Shy of his 60th birthday he had decided to go into town and get something special for him and One for the upcoming day. Not ever having the best of luck on birthdays he vowed to stay home and drink the day away slowly. But he longed for something sweet. As he got to town it was obvious something was happening and he edged his way closer. A small but simple dragon stood in town outside a tavern. Uziah was enthralled immediately and the crowd parted for him easily. He stood before the beast sooner than he would have thought. It was blue and its scales seemed to ripple the sun and sky back at him. Reaching out the dragon watched him but it let him lay his hand on him, the cool rush he got made Uziah almost dizzy.
"ORC!" a shout from the tavern came and a man in what looked like altered horse leathers came out. "You're lucky he didn't take off your hand boy" The man went to the dragon and it met him lowering its great head, the man rubbed it gently and seemed to concentrate on the giant. Its rider he thought, so the stories were true, they are here. The man suddenly looked at Uziah with raised eyes. "Boy whats you name." Boy? He was probably older than the man at this point.

"Uziah. Excuse yourself, I am no boy"

The man laughed and looked back at the dragon and gave it a nod. Were they communicating? Uziah figured they had to have been, the language was there in their bodies.

"Uziah, sir, have a gift. I may seek you out one day"

And like that the man was gone. Why would Uziah be gifted with something? He was never special.

A few years passed and a few more dragons passed through the town and Uziah was always there to be awed by them. He was like a child given something special, and he drunk in all the information he could from the riders they came with. Most were floored that Uziah could even come near their dragons as most of the time when he arrived they had already taken up respite in the small tavern. He swore one even said something to him but he wasn't sure. Uziah become more known within the vanguard as someone with a special connection to the animal realm and even had a few dragon riders seek him out for help either with their personal livestock, pest problems and even with their dragons. Though he was no where near as knowledgeable in dragons as he was with basic animals he was learning more and more such as scale rot and how to prevent these things from happening. As word continue to spread he was soon summoned to meet with the Beacon of the Vanguard. Uziah was floored and was allowed to make the journey on a larger dragon, it was the time of his life. Flying on the back of the dragon to go meet the leader of the faction whos ground he lived upon? With One, his aging rabbit safely strapped to his back. The poor rabbit stared out in something rather like terror as they flew for a day. It took more than two days at the heart of the Vanguard before he had his meeting, and it happened quickly. He was offered a place among them as beast lord and if he accepted he would be tasked with things much like he was already doing, that and he was allowed access to more knowledge in great libraries and others like him. He happily accepted and was allowed to return home to collect his things. He did so happily, but also sadly. Uziah loved the little village he had lived with and watch plenty of its inhabitants grow up, but he promised to visit them as often as he could and returned to the jagged teeth mountains and because his occupation as Beast Lord. Although he maintained a home within the mountains, learning of plenty of different life in a different habitat he still returned to his cabin quiet often. If not to upkeep his budding relationships with the villagers there, than to upkeep their animals as they needed.

Roleplay Example:

Uziah tossed in his sleep as he groaned. His body rolled around on the hard bed in jerking motions, the noises his made could churn stomachs. He was having a nightmare again, something that usually happened atleast a few times a week. His hands groped the bed and the linen sheet that lay upon the feather down and straw mattress. With another yelp and jerk he rolled the other way and out stretched his arms. Although nothing so damaging happened to him, Uziah took to dwelling on things and making them even darker than they had been. Often times he dreamed of his older twin Urrick, plucking feathers off of his crow friend and deviously wrapping up the skinned skull and gifting it to Uziah. This had been a turning point in Uziah's life and often came in his dreams. His other dreams were of the attack Urrick attempted on his sister but instead of defending herself like she had, she just lets him have his way with her. Soon the jolts of terror spasmed again but Uziah's hands gripped and found fur, it quivered and his grip softned. Slowly from under the blanket came a one eared rabbits head as Uziah gently pulled it closer. The rabbit was old, you could tell as it sniffed the air and nuzzled into Uziah's chest. It had a faint rasp that some older things get, its cream colored fur was flecked with white of age but it was hard to tell unless you knew to look. The most noticeable part was the black spot it had on its eye, it was salt and peppered now but had been jet black years ago. It snuffled again and fell back asleep, Uziah calming with the warmth of another being against him.
